President & Chief Executive Officer
Scott Montross has served as our Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 2013. A graduate of Colgate University, Scott joined the company in May 2011 after 23 years in the steel industry. Scott has held many senior positions including Executive Vice President of the Flat Products Group for Evraz Inc. North America, Oregon Steel Division, Claymont Steel Division, and the Regina Steel Division. Prior to Evraz Inc. North America, Scott held positions with Oregon Steel Mills and the National Steel Corporation. Scott’s primary responsibilities include leading the development and execution of long-term strategies, managing the overall operations and resources for the company, acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and corporate operations, and increasing shareholder value.
Chief Financial Officer
Aaron Wilkins joined NWPX in 2014 as the company’s Corporate Controller and became Chief Financial Officer in 2020. In this role, Aaron is responsible for the company’s finance and investor relations functions. Prior to NWPX, Aaron spent two years as the Chief Financial Officer of Omega Morgan, an industrial services company. His experience also includes seven years with Evraz Inc. North America, where his roles included Corporate Controller and Director of Finance. Aaron began his career in public accounting with KPMG LLP, and earned both Bachelor of Science-Business and Master of Professional Accountancy degrees from Montana State University.
Executive Vice President of Water Transmission Engineered Systems and Precast
Miles Brittain oversees all operational and commercial aspects for NWPX’s six Northwest Pipe Company facilities, three Geneva Pipe and Precast manufacturing facilities, and three ParkUSA plants. Miles joined the Company in 2013 as the Vice President – Water Transmission Operations and was appointed to Vice President – Water Transmission Engineered Systems in 2018. He took on his current role as Executive Vice President of Water Transmission Engineered Systems and Precast in 2021. Miles’ experience includes nine years with Evraz Inc. North America, including VP/GM of the Evraz Claymont Facility. During his 35-year steel career, Miles has held positions in operations, quality assurance, product development, and research and development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Megan Kendrick joined NWPX in 2008 as a manager in our Accounting Department. Megan has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility in both Accounting and Human Resources before being appointed to the position of Vice President of Human Resources in January 2017. As the head of our Human Resources department, Megan is responsible for overseeing all employee matters including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. Prior to joining NWPX, Megan worked for the National Basketball Association’s Memphis Grizzlies for seven years. Megan began her career with the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen in Vancouver, BC, Canada, after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree. Megan holds both a CA-CPA and SHRM-CP designation, which span her background in both accounting and HR.
Senior VP/General Manager of Engineered Steel Pressure Pipe
Eric Stokes is responsible for all commercial and operating activities of NPWX’s water transmission arm, Northwest Pipe Company. Eric has been involved in securing many of the largest orders in company history. His day-to-day activities include water transmission commercial responsibilities, overseeing technical engineering, and working closely with his highly experienced sales team. Eric attended college with a basketball scholarship but left to start a construction company with his family in 1992. He then took a position with General Contractor Anderson Construction, where in his 12-year tenure he was repeatedly promoted to Project Superintendent. Eric Joined NWPX in 2008 after conversations with a former company sales manager, who was impressed with his knowledge and common-sense approach. Since joining NWPX, Eric has grown with the organization and become integral to client service. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing before assuming his current role.
Senior VP/General Manager of Precast Infrastructure & Engineered Systems
Mike Wray leads our concrete pipe and precast business and maintains a persistent focus on delivering solutions that support our employees and customers. Mike has successfully led integration efforts of several recent acquisitions. Before taking over leadership of Geneva Pipe and Precast and ParkUSA, Mike held multiple Northwest Pipe Company operations and business development positions. Most recently, he led an operations team responsible for almost half of the Company revenue. Prior to joining NWPX in 2007, he worked for Continental Pipe Company and spent nine years working for Smith Megadiamond, a Schlumberger company. Fluent in French, Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from Utah State University. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially outdoors.
